OLIVER HANGL
Guerillawalk
MALTA Festival in Poznan

that was pure awesomeness! this crazy austrian guy with the "BABE" hat showed us our own city how we've never seen it with these headphones on. so simple and so intiguing idea.

after a time he did with us anything he wanted:
we sang a song about amobias (that o should be umlaut) by the swimming pool.
we rode a tram with no tickets.
we danced polonaise, traditional polish dance in closed, completely dark room.
we were peeping people through their windows by coming up the ladder (well, it was mr Hangl, but anyway, we didn't stop him:P)
we were dancing in public places to the music from those headphones.
we were like a strange family... d'you get that feeling on a concert for example? a feeling of great, shared with everyone happiness, which makes you easy and better?
i guess everyone had this.

michael dead the day before, so at the end we made a little tribute to him, we danced to his songs mostly.
cause after a guerilla walk there was a sidewalk disco:)

so, few steps further from the castle, mr Hangl stopped the walk to plant little flower, which he wanted to leave as a gift for poznan.
there were three guerillawalks, and at least one flower is still in the ground (and i especially wanted to check it out today).

then he watered it (cutting his finger) and run to the guy who was bathing in the fountain (spotted a little while before by the headphone crowd).

i totally loved that happening.

and you know what now?
my delta ended up.

i'm happy i didn't know it will be that fun cause i'd be immediately pissed. and, after all, i could focus on the things happening around. or inside. the headphones.

mr Hangl said that sometimes you shouldn't take photos, but rather try to remember the moment, that sometimes it's better to let it be more... intimate?

that really made me think. as an aspiring photographer, whose mind turned upside down that second. but i think it's very wise.

did i say that i loved the happening?

ps. i guess it's as much performing arts category as street.

He looks a very interesting character. He remembers me of a friend of mine that did exactly the same, Show me new places and histories of my city like no one did before. Sounded like a lot of fun that day! :D

as this man, he was the most hillarious focusing point i've had... maybe ever... and the focusing point fits this situation best, as we were in those headphones... i'm still amazed:)

that sounds like my story when i take photos on the streets, specially with my headphones on, the only time i had them off was today, since the streets were already so loud with music and what not. this is a really great capture with a great story around it. kinda made my mind wander and reflect on my phototravel today :) well done and thanks for the memories!
